Many of these “winners” were on the side lines during Arizona’s real estate boom. During the boom time many were green with envy when they viewed the news and saw the exponential growth in home appreciation the boom states, like Arizona, were experiencing. Now they are no longer on the sidelines. Now, they are reaping their conservatorship and enjoying the steady appreciation their market is presently experiencing amongst the turmoil that is executed in the boom states.

Based on a survey by Gallup, Healthways and America’s Health Insurance Plans, Arizona is ranked among the top Ten Happiest States. The survey interviewed 350,000 Americans, analyzing their mental, physical and economic health, placing Arizona tenth overall.

Phoenix: 26th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Faire, Saturday, March 14th at 10am. The parade begins at 3rd Street and Sheridan, in front of St. Mary’s High School, proceeds south down 3rd Street at Moreland, just before Margaret T. Valley of the Sun Goes Green on March 13th & 14th. On Friday, March 13th and Saturday, March 14th, the Phoenix Convention Center features the BIG Southwest Build-It-Green Expo. The convention is anticipated to have over 500 exhibitors that include: building and construction products, architectural and engineering services, various governmental, non-profit, and private green programs, waste management, renewable energy, transportation, furnishings, landscaping, consumer goods and HVAC & AC companies. Green educational programs will be held throughout each day.

Top 10 States that are Losers in Home Price Appreciation
It was not too long ago that many of the states that are listed as the Top Losers in House Price Growth, were the envy of states that were not experiencing double digit growth during the real estate boom. Here are the top ten losers, beginning with the greatest home price appreciation loser: California, experiencing a loss of over 26%, followed closely behind by Nevada, 26.46% decrease, and Arizona, with a 21.14% decrease.
