There is a network of approximately 40 miles of Trail Systems here.  To access most of the Trailheads, a 4WD or high-clearance vehicles are recommended.  

 To visit an area within the Tonto National Forest, you need to either pick up a Pass at one of Ranger locations or order one online.  Recreation Opportunity Guides are available at the Mesa Ranger Station located at 5140 E. Ingram Street in Mesa, Arizona.
